Atomic Vets__2024__48 x 72”__Oil, Spray & Pastel on Canvas___ Soldiers walk towards a simulated nuclear strike. These types of tests were common on U.S. soil in the early 50s’. Conducted primarily in New Mexico & Nevada, nuclear fallout would spread into the upper atmosphere before eventually descending onto the local civilian population. In the years that followed, residents of nearby towns and soldiers who worked on the site reported higher rates of leukemia and cancer due to radiation exposure. These people became known as downwinders. This work is a firm reminder to the lasting effects of nuclear weapons. A contemporary warning that we still live under the shadow of these weapons and those who maintain them…

Top Rope_ 2024__Oil, Spray, Pastel on Canvas__ 20 x 14”___El Santo is, perhaps, the most famous grappler in the history of lucha libre. A legend doesn’t even do justice to how big he was. In his heyday, Santo was bigger than Hulk Hogan and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin combined. A cultural icon, social phenomenon and super hero all wrapped into one high flying dude.

Raoul Duke__2024__11 x 14”__Oil on Board ___A portrait of Johnny Depp in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. A quote by the book’s author and film inspiration: “I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me.” “In a closed society where everybody’s guilty, the only crime is getting caught. In a world of thieves, the only final sin is stupidity.” “Some may never live, but the crazy never die.” - Hunter S. Thompson

Citaldel__2024__11x14"__Oil on Board___Plein-air painting of a local church near my home. Done at night, my color mixing became skewed and warped creating this eery place of worship.

Fish Eye__2024__11 x 14”__Oil on Board___ Choosing what fish to take home...

Blockbuster__2024__40 x 30”__Oil, Spray & Pastel on Canvas___ I’ve had this feeling for a while but havent found the right way to express it. The specific sense of nostalgia for businesses that are no longer with us. As a kid, I remember going to places like Radio Shack, Toys R Us, and, of course, Blockbuster. These once-great companies now sit abandoned, logos fading in the summer heat. A symbol of the failure to change or victim to corporate cannibalism.

Calamity I__2024__11 x 14”__Oil on Board___ Giant-impact theory suggests that the Moon formed from debris left over after a Mars-sized body, referred to as Theia, collided with the early Earth around 4.5 billion years ago. Playing with scale is an awesome perk to being an artist. Weight, power and tensions are all packed into this small piece.

Creature__2023__11 x 14”__Oil on Board___ Creature is my first portrait I ever painted. Being a self taught artist it is important I’m always pushing myself. I had always known I could paint portraits but was still afraid to take the leap. Take this work as a testament to always experimenting and pushing your personal boundaries. You may never know how far you can go unless you try.

Soldier I__2024__20 x 14”__Oil on Board___ A soldier sits. The often overlooked silent moments of war.

Mighty __2024__14 x 14”__Oil on Board___ The gangs all here! Power Rangers was definitely one of my favorite shows as a kids. I can remember the saturation and color of their suits so vividly. I capture this vibrance in my loose and sketchy impressionist style Which one is your favorite?

Immutable__2023__20 x 20”__Oil on Canvas___ Inspired by paintings of intrepid voyagers, their ships and the battle they faced against the oceans. I bring this theme into the contemporary lenses. My painting highlights that same struggle and our appetites to conquer what is truly immutable.

Mirage__2023__20 x 18”__Oil on Canvas___ Looking to flex more of my impressionist muscles, this piece is a flurry of nature. I use small bits of dried oil paint to create effects such as leaves and flowers. Note how the leaves on the trees fade into the sky and the water overflows into the bushes.

Ceremony and Celebration__2023__20 x 20__Oil, Acrylic & Ink on Canvas___ Building my own Mobile Suit Gundam RX78-2. The blocky form is perfect for my impressionist style. Coupled with a flat acrylic background and inking details, this truly is a piece I enjoyed from start to finish.
